SEO Monopoly

Why marketing your website is like playing Monopoly

Monopoly might seem like a strange thing to be comparing with SEO. However, one of the fundamentals when marketing your business online is to grow your online real estate in order to extend your online footprint. Every content rich webpage you add is like buying up another peice of property on the Monopoly board, and if you provide unqiue, well-written material that has value to your readers/customers/prospects then it will all work in your favour. Just like in Monopoly you are playing a numbers game and the more property you have, the more the chance that someone will land on it.

Of course if your web pages are not well optimised and you have little or no link building then don't expect too much traffic from each page. Every webpage will be doing at least a little work for you though and if you can't afford to buy Mayfair just yet, then you can at least get yourself a couple of hundred Old Kent Roads, just by getting that content out there and building up your online real estate.

Well said. It is a first come first serve basis. For example, registering your keyword rich blogger account will means buying down another online property.
