Latent Semantic Indexing

Blatent LSI BS Merchants

If I get one more email from offshore 'SEOs' telling me they work using the latest LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) techniques, the big bulging blue vein on my forehead is going to pop.

Firstly, it's very doubtful indeed that any search engine, including Google has managed to integrate the verbatim LSI equation into their algorithms, or whether they would if they could, and secondly, if you try to replicate the LSI equation as part of your SEO strategy and balance all your semantically related keywords (synonyms, metonyms etc etc) on your web pages according to this, then its about as pointless as stuffing 500 spammy words into your meta keywords tag and much more time consuming.

Go ahead if you want to, but please don't email me telling me how clever you are! ARRRGGGHHHHH!!
