Wikipedia has the following to say about Yorkshire:
Yorkshire is a historic county of northern England and the largest in Great Britain. Because of its great size, over time functions have increasingly been undertaken by its subdivisions, which have been subject to periodic reform. Throughout these changes Yorkshire has continued to function as a recognised territory and cultural region.[2][3] The name is familiar and well-understood across the United Kingdom and is in common use, featuring in the title of current areas of civil administration such as Yorkshire and the Humber.

Does this paragraph about Yorkshire actually mean anything. What on earth is a 'historic county', ehem? How does this make Yorkshire different from any other county? What the hell does functions undertaken by subdivisions mean? Okay I know what they're trying to get at, but what horribly torturous prose. I could have eaten alphabetti spaghetti and pooed a better paragraph about Yorkshire.
Of all the areas of Yorkshire it has been proven scientifically on an EtchaSketch that West Yorkshire is by far the best. Some days out in West Yorkshire:
